Special Needs
Our
Special Needs room is the coordination centre of all learning support within the
school. There is provision for small group learning, with a wide range of
resources useful in supporting special needs students available here.
On
going support for recognised students is also given within the context of the
regular classroom.
Our
support reaches a wide range of students including those with;
General
learning difficulties
Physical
impairment
Speech
and Language difficulties
Ascertained students
Displayed
advanced abilities in one or more Key Learning Areas
We
pride ourselves in the positive attitude students have towards the Special Needs
Room and its services. All children have the opportunity to access the resources
available here through their classroom teacher, scheduled class visits and the
offering of a wide range of activities for all children at lunch time.
